It costs about $9,000 to put a teen through the program as opposed to $80,000 a year to keep a prisoner in jail, Houston noted.

An example of Conservative priorities
As we all know, the Cons have been very successful at branding themselves as tough on crime and fiscally responsible. So why are they cutting funding to crime prevention programs?
