Good riddance. Hopefully this won't be enough to save his party from defeat in the next election...B.C.'s embattled Premier Gordon Campbell announced he was stepping down on Wednesday in Vancouver and said he has asked the B.C. Liberal party to call a leadership convention as quickly as possible “to return public attention to what is important in British Columbia."
“It was always worth the effort,” said Mr. Campbell, who has led the party since 1993 and has served as premier for almost a decade.
