Hey, don't knock the bad spellers of the world. In the last two weeks I have spelled curlicue "curly-cue" and conjure as "conger" on my blog. I caught the mistakes myself, but not until after a lot of people had read them.
*sigh*
I like to think the world is sympathetic towards us crappy spellers, but it's a harsh world and I know we're just dismissed as fools. Oh well.
Well, if it makes you feel any better, I had to look up the word "curlicue".
The thing about that sign is that it reminds me of the TPB episode where Ricky puts up a sign promoting "Frunt End Loader Rides" (sic) for the "Community Day". Plus the fact that they wrote "Louisa" as "Lausie"- maybe it was akin to a Freudian slip, since the street does have a reputation for being, well, lousy.
